The benefits of Cold Cathode lighting

1. Long life

acdc lamp life is in the region of 45,000 hours, with  high  lumen  maintenance  in the region  of 80%. The lamp does not deteriorate from repeated switching or flashing.

2. Creativity

Lamps can be bent or shaped to conform to almost any configuration, be it a domed coffer, complex structure or even a piece of artwork.

3. Continuity

Cold Cathode lamps with turned back electrodes are illuminated to the end, allowing them to give a continuous lighting effect without shadow gaps or hot spots.

4. Colour

Our standard range now extends to over 50 different colours with  a range of high  efficacy white triphosphor colours matched to standard fluorescent sources. Triphosphor lamps have an excellent colour rendering index at CRI > 90.

5. Control

Huge advances in acdc electronics enables different types of control gear to be controlled by either mains dimming,  1- 10 volt DMX or Dali control  signals  to  give  ultra-smooth  control. Multi-lamp  colour change systems can also be integrated with this leading edge technology.

6. High Output

Standard systems offer lumen outputs in the region of 1600 lumens per metre, but our latest high output Nemesis systems generate 2800 lumens per metre.

7. Low Voltage Electronic

95% of our solutions are electronic and our high frequency low-voltage cold cathode gives a 30% energy saving when compared to traditional systems. A  fireman’s  switch  is NOT required, opening up whole new areas of application.

8. Low Energy

The efficient electronic control gear delivers efficacies  of up to 65 lumens  per watt,  which equates to 25 watts per metre for standard systems. Performance reflectors also improve system efficiencies by around 20%.
