Dan joined acdc in 2011 having been a client for many years. His love for the acdc brand and passion for lighting meant that when the opportunity to join the acdc design team arose, it was an easy decision to make. Dan and his family relocated from London to Lancashire to start afresh, with Dan taking up the role of Design Director at acdc.
With a proven track record in lighting design, Dan graduated in and then went on to complete an MA in Product Design before achieving a pgDip in Light & Lighting at University College London, he also has 11 years’ experience as a Lighting Designer for Light Projects, Concord Lighting, Campbell Design and as an Associate for BDP.
Well respected by his acdc peers for his product design, Dan is also as well known for designing lighting schemes for clients like Harrods and Nike. A committed team player with a proactive attitude and a down to earth manner, he has the ability to design the fittings that designers and architects want to specify, based on his time working as a designer himself and with external architects in the industry.
It’s been an incredible first year for Dan at acdc, as he says
‘The first year has resulted in 18 new fittings, over three new ranges and a new baby boy at home who’ll be one this week!! The three new ranges have received some great comments from those in the industry that I really respect and to be highly commended in both the interior & exterior categories at the Lighting Design Awards in March was a great achievement, but also gives us something to aim for next year!’
