ACDC Experience Comes to 100% Design
The superb 100% Design show at Earl’s Court, London has always been renowned for serving up one or two surprises in terms of being a showcase for the more unusual exhibits that the world of design has to offer. But this year’s show will certainly be remembered in years to come as the occasion when ACDC went to London and stole the show with their amazing exhibition stand.
A talking-point for the whole show, and just as much even now, the ACDC Experience shocked and amazed visitors to 100% Design with its sheer audacity. The company’s ‘mobile exhibition stand’ – which started life as a double-decker bus, brought the future of LED and Cold Cathode lighting literally into the heart of the Earl’s Court show - a massive statement of the Lancashire company’s desire to continue its mission of taking the lighting industry by storm.
Featuring all of ACDC’s latest products, designed and manufactured by the innovative lighting specialist here in the U.K, the bus lived up to the 100% Design Show’s mantra of showcasing the very ‘Best of British’. Moreover, from a practical point of view the ACDC Experience gives a graphic illustration of how the company’s state-of-the-art, award-winning products can be utilised to illuminate even the most demanding applications – including a fully refurbished double-decker.
Next stop for the bus is the Love Light event, being held at the Royal College of Physicians in London’s Regents Park, where over 200 architects and interior designers will be invited to ‘hop on board with ACDC’ whilst being given a tour of the future of lighting. For those who may have missed the early bus ‘appearances’ there will be a number of opportunities to catch up with ACDC, as the bus will be at the Light+Building show in Frankfurt next year, as well as other events throughout the remainder of this year.
ACDC are also planning to hold a number of CPD presentations on-board the bus in the very near future, where architects, specifiers along with interior and lighting designers will be given an opportunity to gain an insight into the innovative world of LED and Cold Cathode lighting. Products on display aboard the bus include three brand new innovations that were unveiled at this year’s highly successful 100% Design show.
