E-Sure Manchester
Independent Lighting Specialists, worked closely with ACDC Lighting Systems, after being approached to provide a lighting scheme to colour wash internal bulkheads at the new Esure building in Manchester. The design brief was to give a striking display to the 8 storey glass façade of the building. In total ACDC supplied around 800mts of cold cathode on this project, the lamp colours chosen – brilliant blue & brilliant orange – reflect the corporate colours of Esure perfectly. The lighting system supplied comprises of two lamps per unit and ACDC Triple X control gear all built into an extrusion.
The Triple X control gear is DMX controlled allowing all 512 lamps to be individually addressed ensuring the Esure building comes to life at night. There are different control programmes for each night of the week, which wash up and down, side to side and then the most complex of all works like a Tetris block system, where lamps seems to fall from the 8th floor down through the floors to the ground. “The project was extremely challenging at the time, but the final result is truly fantastic and we are extremely proud to have been involved” commented Paul Welbon of Independent Lighting Specialists.
Without doubt, the Esure building is one of most dynamic to be seen in Manchester.
