The Future is Looking Bright for ACDC and New Employees

ACDC has been growing so rapidly, they have taken on five new starts in the past couple of months. The down turn in the economy does not seem to be stopping us from increasing our workforce, due to thriving sales and fast growth the new starts couldn’t have come at a better time.

Rowan Lord who is now working within Customer Sales Support, states “I am really enjoying my new job here at ACDC, as the company is expanding so quickly there are many great prospects for all employees. The company has a great energy and ethos, every day there is something different happening.”

Liz Chester whose new position is Marketing and Communications Coordinator says, “Having recently graduated from University, I’m so lucky to have been able to get such a relevant job to my degree in such a fantastic company. In the current climate, so many of my friends have been struggling to find employment after graduation. I’m eager to get going on all the exciting projects ACDC have on at the moment.”

Janice Lee is now part of the export team at ACDC and her role involves export sales and technical support. Janice was looking for a stable and long term future with a thriving company and says she chose ACDC due to its forward thinking, constant innovation and adaptability within the market. She hopes to progress within the company and growing export team as ACDC is currently expanding into new markets.

Alan Hartley, Design Manager and Nik Gardener, Creative Design Engineer are both new starts and their office is situated in the new ‘Design Bus’ at ACDC. Due to recent growth the company is now starting to outgrow its office space. So, the design team were on the hunt for a new studio that would really get the creative juices flowing. ACDC thought that a double-decker bus would be just the ticket! Fully refitted and refurbished, using our latest revolutionary products and some pretty spectacular interior design, the new ‘Design Bus’ is ready to roll.

Alan, whose background is in mechanical engineering and project management, is currently working on improving a variety if processes and procedures within the business and his main objective is to deliver projects on time, of top quality and under budget. Alan believes that “Splitting the design team off from the rest of the business is ideal, as ideas are bounced off each other more easily and the bus creates a relaxed environment with none of the normal office distractions.”

Nik Gardner was head hunted by ACDC from his previous position at one of their suppliers. He is currently working on linear lighting for the Olympic Village 2012 and is looking forward to a long career at ACDC. He says “I knew the company before I started and as ACDC is well thought of in the industry, I jumped at the opportunity. As I previously worked for a supplier, it’s now great to see everything from the manufacturers’ point of view and the difference in the challenges they face compared to suppliers. It’s great working on the bus; it’s a relaxed space for us to get our creative thinking hats on.”
