Top Gear Star 'Speeds In' to Catch the New Design Bus
We have gone crazy ‘on the buses’ here at ACDC and have launched the new design studio on board a double-decker bus for our design team.
ACDC have been growing so fast that, in little over a year since we moved into a new state of the art manufacturing facility, we are starting to outgrow the office space. So, as the design teams were on the hunt for a new studio that would really get the creative juices flowing; ACDC thought that a double-decker bus would be just the ticket! Fully refitted and refurbished, using ACDC’s latest products and some pretty spectacular interior design, the new 'Design Bus' is ready to roll.
To celebrate, a launch party was held at our manufacturing facility in Barrowford where the bus is based. The Mayor along with surprise guest ‘The Stig’ were in attendance to christen and declare the ‘Design Bus’ open! Guests were invited to look around the ‘Design Bus’ and also the ‘ACDC Experience’ which is another double decker bus ACDC use to exhibit products and which has received great feedback within the industry.
The Mayor commented “The office working space in the design bus is absolutely fantastic. We found the tour of the factory very interesting and the arrival of Stig in the car, was a lovely surprise.”
The event was a great sucess and the Surprise Guest and the car he arrived in, a Gumpurt Apollo, went down a treat with the attendees, especailly the young people who couldnt believe they had met the 'STIG'! A typical homemade lancashire supper of pie and peas was served after the opening ceremony on the bus to warm everyone up and the bar on the bus was put to good use until late into the evening.
