Waterstones - Piccadilly
ACDC Lighting Systems has just completed the lighting contract for Waterstones in Piccadilly. The design incorporates over 350M of ACDC’s Colorise colour changing cold cathode around the exterior building façade, creating a stunning visual effect that can be seen for miles around.
ACDC’s cold cathode was chosen for its long life and low maintenance characteristics, as the installation is in very high, difficult to reach areas.
The project uses high frequency control gears resulting in higher efficiency when compared to traditional control systems, and their Colorise system offered a flexible yet stunning solution.
ACDC said ‘the project was completed on extremely tight timescales with the quick plug and play installation package proving to be vital’.
The increased flexibility of the Colorise colour changing systems continues to be adopted on numerous retail and leisure hotel applications with designers incorporating the smooth and subtle colour change system to great effect.
